DiscountElectronics.com & S Collective have formed a long term partnership to grow both Discount Electronics' E Commerce as well as local, retail business. We have successfully worked together and produced substantial growth in both areas. We were faced with the challenge of successfully growing online sales while simultaneously promoting an increase of retail foot-traffic in the four local Austin locations.
The New DiscountElectronics.com
Our first task when working with DiscountElectronics.com was to help support them through the growth of three new retail locations. We rolled out a website that allowed users to quickly find a local Discountelectronics.com retail location closest to them, while online shoppers could quickly search the new database of 10,000 products to find exactly what they wanted.
Web design is all about evoking an action. We build web pages with goals. While some think a conversion is just a purchase or merely a phone call, we believe identifying the conversion is unique to every project. We want people to engage in our community, watch our video tutorials and become lifelong fans of our customer's brands. We set out to establish direct sales, but also to help DiscountElectronics.com build a lasting relationship with each one of their future customers.
Social Media & Community Growth
Creating engaging communities around Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter have allowed DiscountElectronics.com to support their traditional marketing campaigns. The marketing goal behind our partnership was to make sure customers were "touched" by advertising as many times a day as possible. To supplement the signage and media buys in town, we are now able to invite users to join in activities & discussions with the brand. We understood when customers were buying products from DiscountElectronics.com they weren't just buying computers & consumer electronics. They were buying the knowledge and support of the staff. So we extended that support & knowledge online for free. This really helped to reinforce the relationship between customer and vendors, and drove home the message "we're discountelectronics.com and we're here for you."
The Result
Since partnering with DiscountElectronics.com and launching the new online-retail store in combination with our video & social media marketing campaigns, the company revenue has doubled.
